TX Sport Weekly Newsletter

The Year 1 – 6 swimming gala took place on Thursday 28^th March, between 8am – 12pm. It was the final event in the sequence of water safety activities we have been running here at TX. We started off with the Year 1 + 2’s straight after morning registration, followed by the Year 3 – 6 throughout the remainder of the morning until lunch. It was the first time we have run the MP galas back to back, creating a whole school style event! It was a great reminder that we have extremely talented swimmers here at TX and now even all year 1 swimmers swim lengths in a variety of strokes! Well done to everyone who took part!

 The final results were:

1^st = Hue       244 points

2^nd = Dalat    232 points
3^rd = Hanoi   230 points
4^th = Saigon  182 points

 Thank you Mr. Chau for your continuous hard work and dedication towards improving swimming here at TX!

Survival swimming Years 3 – 6. We had so much fun in the pool this week,  learning how to keep ourselves safe using personal survival skills. The children took part in a variety of challenges in the water, some of which while wearing clothing. Everyone left the poolside exhausted! Photos attached.

 Frist week back fixtures:

1.       Wednesday 17^th April. Netball TX V AIS (away match). We are currently undefeated!

2.       Thursday 18^th April. SWIM MEET V AIS– this is a preparation meet for the HCMC swim championships on the 14^th May (pencil this in your diary please. We need all our squad swimmers to attend this event in May!)
